"Dreams in Motion" Children and Youth Dance Competition 2024
The “Dreams in Motion” Children and Youth Dance Competition will be conducted online, aiming to break geographical barriers and provide a convenient platform for dance enthusiasts to showcase and exchange their talents. The competition encourages participants to actively upload their dance performances, sharing the joy and achievements of dance with dancers from around the world.
Participants are required to record their dance videos and upload them to the website, which will help them learn how to showcase their dance talent in front of the camera. Through this process, they can enhance their online performance skills, improve their self-expression abilities, and accumulate valuable experience for future online exhibitions and performances.

Age Categories:
- Kindergarten Group (K1, K2, K3)
- Junior Primary Group (P1 – P3)
- Senior Primary Group (P4 – P6)
- Open Group (13 – 18 years old)
Group size:
- Solo Dance: 1 participant
- Duet and Trio: 2-3 participants
- Small Group Dance: 4-8 participants
- Large Group Dance: 9 or more participants

- Artistic Gymnastics
- Street Dance
- Latin Dance
Age Requirements:
- The age of participants will be based on April 10, 2024.
- For duet, trio, and group dances, the age limit will be determined based on the age of the oldest participant.
- The maximum age limit for all participants is 18 years old.
- The organizers reserve the right to check the participants’ identification documents on the day of the competition to verify their age.
- All participants in solo categories can only compete in the competition category that corresponds to their age group.
Awards:
Gold Award, Silver Award, Bronze Award, Honorable Mention
Award Categories:
- Gold Award (90-100 points)
- Silver Award (80-89 points)
- Bronze Award (70-79 points)
- Honorable Mention (60-69 points)
Scoring:
The total score is out of 100 points.
Criteria for Evaluation:
- Dance Technique Level
- Quality of Dance Interpretation and Coordination of Skills
- Musicality in Dance Performance
- Originality of Choreography, Composition, and Creativity in Selection of Performers
- Individual Interpretation and Stage Presence of Dancers
All scores are the final decision of the judging panel, and the organizers will not accept any discussions or appeals.
Registration Information:
Participants must ensure that the information provided on the registration form is accurate and correct. Once the registration is completed, any modifications to the information will incur an administrative fee of $50.
The provided information will be used for processing all competition-related documents, such as regulations and competition certificates.
All winning participants in group dances will receive an additional electronic certificate with the participant’s name printed on it.
The organizers reserve the right to take photographs and record videos during the event and have the right to publish these photos or videos on the event’s website, social media, or other media platforms for promotional purposes.
Competition Rules:
Participants can participate in multiple small group dances and large group dances within the same competition category.
Solo/Duet/Trio participants cannot compete in two competitions within the same category.
All solo dance entries will not accept any dancer substitutions or replacements.
Kindergarten Group:
- Solo Dance: Up to 3 minutes
- Duet and Trio: Up to 3 minutes
- Group Dance: Up to 3 minutes
Children’s Group:
- Solo Dance: Up to 3 minutes
- Duet and Trio: Up to 3 minutes
- Group Dance: Up to 3 minutes
Youth Group:
- Solo Dance: Up to 3 minutes
- Duet and Trio: Up to 3 minutes
- Group Dance: Up to 3 minutes
Performance Regulations:
- The following items are prohibited as props: glass, fragile objects, special lighting effects, any living creatures, open flames or lit candles, soap bubbles, water, etc.
- Video editing is not allowed, and the camera angle should be fixed.
- If any participant violates the above regulations, the performance of that dance will be deducted points.
Submission of Competition Videos:
The competition will be conducted in the form of video submissions:
Video Requirements:
- The total length of the video must not exceed 5 minutes.
- The recording can be done indoors or outdoors, but it should clearly show the participant’s full body/half body, facial expressions, and movements.
- Any recording device can be used, and the video format should be MOV, MP4, AVI, or WMV, with a minimum resolution of 720p (1280 x 720).
- Please keep the camera stable during the recording process, avoiding shaking or moving.
- The video must be a single continuous shot without any editing or post-production.
- Special effects such as background music, sound effects, images, text, filters, transition effects, lighting adjustments, and subtitles are not allowed.
- Live audio must be used, and post-dubbing or voice-over is not accepted.
You need to upload the video to Google Drive/YouTube, make a copy of the link, and send it to the email address info@learningdolphin.com. The email should include the competition category, team name, contact person’s name, and phone number.
